16-year-old Krisīyah is one South Florida’s newest emerging artist taking the music industry by storm. She comes as a triple threat, with singing, songwriting, and dancing as her dominant talents. Her roots stem from the island of Jamaica, with a mix of Indian, Chinese and African decent and cultures of Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Rastafarian influences. Just as her background stems from her family heritage, her musical roots do as well; Krisīyah’s Grandfather and Great Uncle were two renown music artists from Kingston Jamaica, signed to RCA Records, who founded a 90’s German electronic music group with chart topping hits in both Europe and Canada. Her parents also have had their stamp in the music industry, with her father, a recording artist in his own right, collaborating on projects with multi-platinum recording artists such as Lil Jon and Rick Ross; and her mother in the area of music business management.
